Working From Home? Well, one of the major challenges of working from home is productivity. When I started working at home for the first time it was very difficult to focus on work because of distraction.

No matter how much you have done your task at the end productivity matters. So, focus on effectiveness rather than efficiency.

Working from your home during a global pandemic adds an higher amount of pressure and strain outside conventional distant work surroundings, and also leaders should just take that under consideration and adapt their expectations of employees and of course themselves consequently.

While i understand these tips may not be feasible for everybody, here are tips for establishing a highly efficient, productive, and sustainable house office installment. Whether you’re in this situation temporarily or for the long haul, I hope that this home based job information can help you adjust and remain productive.

  1. Get up early and dressed:
    When it comes to morning routine hacks, working from home offers many benefits that working in an office doesn’t. Not worrying about picking out a different work-appropriate outfit every day and skipping a long commute are just two of the ways remote workers save time and reduce their stress in the mornings.

    When you wake up and get dressed, the first thing you can do is make a plan or make a to-do list. I use Trello and calendar.
  3. Structure Your Day to Resemble Normal Working Hours
    Working from home has plenty of upsides, but it can take a bit of getting used to. It often means more flexibility and freedom — things that can leave some of us feeling a little lost at times.
    Structuring your day can really help to prioritise your health, happiness and productivity.
  4. Designate an official home office
    Make your workplace like an office. You can make a separate setup the same like an office setup to feel like an office.
  5. Remove Distraction
    It’s easy to become distracted at work, and regrettably , we are living in an era of distractions. Apps, gadgets, people and passions are constantly vying for our attention, that may leave us feeling preoccupied and unproductive.
    This absence of productivity can cause a vicious cycle of deadline pursuing, where we give ourselves time to recharge, and therefore, can’t manage tasks with our full potential.
    To remove your distraction, turn off your tv, set your workplace away for your kids, use different websites and apps blocker. My favorite tool is cold turkey blocker.
  6. Use different tools for better communication
    Use tools like slack, zoom, flock, skype or asana for better communication between you and your colleagues.
  7. Improve your Internet speed(if slow)
    Believe or not your productivity also depends on your internet speed. If your internet speed is weak or slow then you feel less important to work.
    So, better use high bandwidth internet connection to work perfectly.
  8. Listen your favorite music (if possible)
    Music can be perfect for driving with the top down or jamming out with friends, but did you know it has many benefits when listened to in the workplace? Whether it’s your favorite rock song or the most relaxing classical tune.
    Type of music you should listen while working:
    — Classical music
    — Video Game music
    — Favorite Music
    — Nature sound
    — Instrumental songs
  9. Take regular breaks
    According to science, the ideal length of a break should be 17 minutes, followed by 52 minutes of work. Although this is not possible in most industries, it’s still vital for employees to pause regularly throughout their working day as giving our minds a break restores stamina and helps us work to our full capacity.
  10. Interact with staff(talk about your work related things).
  11. Work with zero pressure
    Don’t take pressure, keep working.
  12. Discipline
    Never forget: “DISCIPLINE IS DOING WHAT YOU KNOW NEEDS TO BE DONE EVEN IF YOU DON’T WANT TO DO IT.
    Self Discipline in the office permits leaders to present their entire attention to the job at hand. Studies have proven that leaders having a powerful awareness of persistence and self-control are more inclined to be more diligent and participate within their work.
    Additionally, putting aside time to focus with certain activities shows direct reports just two things. To begin with, it indicates the forms of jobs or tasks which can be of priority with their own leaders.
    Secondly, it appears their leaders are both willing and ready to roll their sleeves up and devote themselves for their own job. Not just will self discipline be a great tool for leaders appearing to perform more work daily, however it could be inspiring for employees that follow the example set by their own leader.
  13. Backup your work
    Always keep backup of your documents, files or any office important data. You can use dropbox, google drive.
